Golf Orbit: one click, one swing, as many feet as you can get

Golf Orbit is a 2D one-button golf game from TapNation in which you stop a swinging power meter to hit the ball as far as possible, then spend the coins you earn on upgrades that make the next shot fly further. A counter at the top measures each drive in feet, and the first target asks you to hole a shot from more than 200 ft away to unlock a new golfer. Trees, bunkers and water stop the ball quickly, but a swing in the Perfect zone lets it smash through obstacles. Unlike the other ball games on What Games Play, there is no opponent and no timer, only the length of your last drive and the coins it paid.

How to play Golf Orbit

Every hole is a single long drive followed, if you reach the green, by a putt. Coins from each shot go straight into upgrades for the next one.

Watch the power meter
A fan-shaped meter sits in front of the tee with an arrow sweeping across it. Its position when you click decides the strength and angle of the swing.

Click to swing
Press the left mouse button to freeze the arrow. Stopping it in the Perfect section gives the ball enough force to break through trees and buildings in its path.

Putt if you reach the green
When the ball stops on the green, hold the left button, drag to set the direction and let go to putt. Sinking the ball multiplies the coin reward.

Collect and upgrade
A result card shows where the ball ended, such as On the Fairway, and the coins earned. Spend them on the Strength, Speed and Bounce buttons on the left.

What sets Golf Orbit apart

Distance measured in feet

The score that matters is the number above the golfer. Each unlock target is a distance, starting with a hole scored from more than 200 ft.

Perfect swings break obstacles

An ordinary shot stops dead in a tree, bunker or pond. A Perfect shot keeps going and destroys what it hits, which is how the long drives happen.

Three upgrade tracks

Strength makes the golfer hit harder, Speed makes the ball fly faster and Bounce makes it roll further after landing. Each starts at 50 coins.

A clubhouse of odd golfers

The Clubhouse holds 25 golfers. CrazyGames lists a clown with a bowling pin, a lion that swings with its tail, a samurai with a sword and Santa with a candy cane.

Tips for Golf Orbit

Put early coins into Strength. GamePix recommends it, because a stronger golfer raises the base distance of every swing you take afterwards.
Value holes over raw distance. An Eagle (hole in one) or a Birdie (hole in two) pays far more coins than a long drive that misses the cup.
Watch where the ball lands. Water and sand end a shot early; if a course keeps ending in the same hazard, a Bounce upgrade may carry the ball past it.
Decide on the Triple button yourself. The result card offers Collect or a video-backed Triple; the base coins are yours either way.
