Volley Random – Volleyball Controls and Timing Guide

Volley Random is RHM Interactive’s physics volleyball game for solo play or a local two-player match. Your action key makes both teammates hop, but it does not give you direct control over their direction. Send the ball across the net by timing the jump, then adjust as the court, ball or bodies change between rounds.

Quick facts

  • Volley Random by RHM Interactive
  • One-button volleyball · Changing physics
  • Volley Random supports local keyboard play

How to play

Track the incoming ball, then time the shared team jump. Direct steering is not part of the published controls.

  1. 1

    Choose the opponent

Practise against the computer or choose local two-player play. Before the serve, assign W to player 1 and Up arrow to player 2 on the shared keyboard.

  2. 2

    Track the descending ball

Watch the ball relative to both teammates and the net. An early jump can finish before contact; a late jump can miss the useful window.

  3. 3

    Use the shared jump

Press to make your team hop and attempt a hit. The published controls do not provide direct directional steering; judge the contact and resulting ball path.

  4. 4

    Adapt at the next round

Check the next court and ball variation. Longer arms or a heavier ball may change the required timing even when the action key stays the same.

Keyboard controls

Desktop controls

  • Volley player 1: press W to make both teammates jump for the ball.
  • Volley player 2: use Up arrow for your team’s shared jump.
  • One action affects both teammates; the published rules do not provide independent direction controls.

Phone and tablet

  • Volley Random is documented here for keyboard play. The provider’s touch instructions conflict with its Mobile Ready: No label; use a desktop or laptop rather than depending on unverified phone input.

Game features

Linked teammates

Both characters on your side act together. Read which body will meet the ball rather than trying to select a receiver.

Changing ball and body shapes

Published variations include longer arms and larger or heavier balls. A familiar contact window may change while your input remains simple.

A net-focused physics contest

Return the ball across the net and react to its next flight. A small control set keeps the current exchange easy to follow.

Practical tips

  • Follow the ball above the court; its next landing determines when your team should jump.
  • Avoid jumping repeatedly without reading the result; a pause can prepare you for the next return.
  • When weight or size changes, study the new flight instead of expecting the old arc.
  • Agree who uses W and who takes Up arrow before a local volleyball exchange.

Who might enjoy it

Friends sharing a keyboard

W and Up arrow let two friends react side by side to changing volleyball physics on a shared device.

Players who enjoy timing challenges

Without direct steering, the challenge focuses on contact timing under different ball and body conditions.

Goals, score and progress

The current GameMonetize version ends the match when one side reaches five points, as verified in desktop play. Follow the score after each exchange. Ball and court conditions may change between scoring rounds, so rebuild your timing rather than treating a lead as a stable court setup.

Game questions answered

What keys does Volley Random use?+

Player 1 uses W; player 2 uses Up arrow. Each key makes both teammates on that side jump. Shirts can change between rounds, so follow the agreed key assignment.

Can I move the volleyball players left and right?+

The published rules say you cannot directly choose direction. Your input controls both teammates’ jump timing, so read their positions and the incoming ball.

Can I play Volley Random alone?+

Yes. Volley Random offers a computer opponent alongside local two-player play. Solo practice helps you understand how the shared team jump meets the ball.

Why does a jump that worked before miss now?+

Rounds may change ball weight, size, player reach or other physics. Read the new flight instead of assuming the last successful rhythm still fits.

Is phone play confirmed for this embedded version?+

Use a desktop or laptop keyboard. Touch instructions conflict with the distributor’s Mobile Ready: No label, so phone support is not verified here.
