Size It Up
A target silhouette sits next to a familiar reference object, and the question is simple: how big is it really? Drag the slider or type a number, lock in your guess, and watch the silhouette scale in real time before the true size is revealed. Five rounds make up each day's game, judged server-side so every player faces the same targets. A 1.7 m human figure stands on the horizon in every scene for scale. Everything resets at UTC midnight, so a new set of five rounds and a fresh leaderboard are waiting once the day turns over. This page is built by What Games Play; it is a separate implementation, not affiliated with the original at Magnitudle.
Quick facts
- Five ranked rounds per UTC day, judged server-side
- Log-error scoring: exact size scores 100, double or half the true size scores 0
- A growing library of silhouettes across four categories: animals, landmarks, vehicles, and nature & space
- A 1.7 m human figure anchors every scene for scale
- Keyboard arrows and typed input work alongside the slider
- Unlimited mode for extra rounds, not counted on the leaderboard
- No account needed to play or appear on the leaderboard
How to play
A round takes seconds: look at the reference object, drag the slider toward the target's real size, lock in your guess, then read the result before the next pair loads.
- 1
See the pair
Each round shows a reference object at its true size next to a target silhouette, both set against a horizon line with a 1.7 m human figure for scale.
- 2
Drag, nudge, or type
Move the slider to resize the target in real time, tap the arrow keys for a 2% step (Shift for 10%), or click the number to type a length in cm, m, or km.
- 3
Lock In your guess
When the size looks right, press Lock In. The guess is scored server-side against the real size, so it cannot be edited after the fact.
- 4
Read the reveal
A dashed ghost silhouette at the true size appears over your guess, the score ring counts up, and a source link explains where the real size comes from.
- 5
Finish five rounds
After five rounds, your total for the day is set. Come back after the UTC reset for a new set of pairs, or open Unlimited mode for more rounds that do not affect rank.

Size It Up Game Features
Instant silhouette scaling
Drag or nudge, and the target resizes on the spot — there is no separate preview step, so you always see exactly what you are about to lock in.
Ghost silhouette reveal
After you lock in, a dashed ghost outline at the real size appears over your guess, then the scene animates to the true one, so the gap is visible, not just stated.
Human figure for scale
A 1.7 m human silhouette stands on the horizon in every round, giving a constant reference point regardless of whether the pair is an animal, a landmark, or a vehicle.
Keyboard and typed input
Arrow keys move the guess in 2% steps, 10% with Shift, and clicking the number opens a field that accepts cm, m, or km directly — the slider is not the only way in.
True sizes with sources
Every reveal states the target's real size and links to where that figure comes from, so a surprising result can be checked rather than taken on faith.
Tips for better guesses
- Anchor on the human figure first, since its 1.7 m size does not change round to round, unlike the reference object next to the target.
- Use the keyboard for small corrections — arrow keys move the guess in fine 2% steps, faster than dragging for a tiny adjustment.
- Type the number when you already know it rather than dragging to find it; clicking the value opens a direct cm, m, or km field.
- Read the source link after each reveal to see where the real size comes from, useful when the true value comes as a surprise.
- Try Unlimited mode to learn each category before your ranked rounds, since sizes behave differently from one category to the next.

Scoring in the Size It Up Daily Game
Each round is scored on the ratio between your guess and the target's real size, not the raw difference in meters. The judge takes the natural log of guess over actual against a full doubling, then converts that into a score out of 100 — symmetric by factor, not by percentage. An exact guess scores 100. Guess 10% over and it scores 86. Guess 25% over and it scores 68, while 25% under scores 58, since the same percentage under sits a larger ratio away than over. Guess double the real size, or exactly half of it, and both score 0. Your total for the day sums all five rounds, ranked by points first and then by how early you finished.
Frequently asked questions
What is this game?+
A free daily browser game: five rounds a day, each asking you to guess a target object's real size, scored server-side out of 100 per round.
Is there a Size It Up unlimited or infinite mode?+
Yes. Switch to the Unlimited tab for as many extra rounds as you want — some players just call it Size It Up infinite, since the rounds do not stop. Those rounds do not count toward today's leaderboard.
How does the Size It Up scale work?+
The target silhouette resizes on the spot as you drag the slider, press the arrow keys, or type a number, so what you see always matches the guess you are about to lock in.
Is this a size comparison game or a size guessing game?+
Both. You compare a reference object of a known size to a target silhouette, then guess, and lock in, that target's real size before it is revealed.
Do I have to match the silhouette exactly?+
No exact match is required. Scoring runs on a curve: the closer your guess is to the real size, the higher the score, down to 0 once you are off by a factor of two.
How is each round scored?+
By the ratio between your guess and the real size, run through a log-error formula. An exact guess scores 100, 10% over scores 86, 25% over scores 68, 25% under scores 58, and double or half the true size scores 0 — symmetric by factor, not by percentage.
Do I need an account to play?+
No. Guesses and leaderboard rank use a device-based identity, so there is no sign-up or login.
Is this affiliated with the original at Magnitudle?+
No. This page is a separate implementation by What Games Play with its own silhouette set, scoring curve, and leaderboard; it is not affiliated with the original at Magnitudle.
Privacy
This page is built and run by What Games Play. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original at Magnitudle. No account is required to play. Guesses are scored server-side and your leaderboard rank is tied to a device-based identity, not a login.
