Boxing Random – One-Button Boxing Controls and Tips
Boxing Random is RHM Interactive’s physics boxing game for one player or two people sharing a keyboard. A single action button drives your boxer’s awkward movement and punch. Land a scoring hit on the opponent and adapt when the next round changes the fighters or arena; the first side to reach five points wins.

- Boxing Random supports local keyboard play
How to play
Observe each boxer’s reach and swing before punching; new round conditions can change which moment works.
- 1
Choose a match
Choose solo practice or a local two-player match. In the shared-keyboard option, assign W to player 1 and Up arrow to player 2 before the first exchange.
- 2
Read the new round
Check arm length, distance and the floor. Published variations include long arms, icy ground and rocket punches, so the last round’s timing may no longer fit.
- 3
Time the punch
Press when your boxer has a useful angle. Ordinary rounds target the head; the published controls give one action rather than separate steering, guard and combo commands.
- 4
Check the score and reset your timing
Watch the score after a round and continue until one side reaches five points. Read the next setup before repeating the previous rhythm.
Keyboard controls
Desktop controls
- Single player: use Up arrow for the action.
- Two players: player 1 uses W; player 2 uses Up arrow.
- Click inside the game before using the keyboard so the embedded game receives input.
Phone and tablet
- Boxing Random’s distributor lists mobile support and touch input; that support has not been tested on every phone or in every embedded setup. If the touch action does not respond, choose a computer and the documented keyboard keys.
Game features
One action, many outcomes
Body rotation and position affect contact even though the input is simple. Watch the fighter’s angle before committing to another punch.
Changing boxing conditions
Long arms, slippery ground and other variations change practical reach. Adjust your reading of distance without expecting a new set of commands.
Shared-keyboard rivalry
Each person uses one dedicated action key. A local match lets two players compare their timing directly on the same keyboard.
Practical tips
- Pause between punches to see where the ragdoll body is swinging before acting again.
- Recheck distance when long arms or rocket punches change the reach of an attack.
- Watch both heads; a near miss helps you judge contact timing better than extra taps.
- Treat a new setup as a fresh timing problem instead of repeating the lost round’s rhythm.
Who might enjoy it
Local two-player fans
A race to five gives two people a compact keyboard contest with simple controls and changing situations.
Players practising timing
The limited input puts distance and contact timing in focus. This is a physics contest rather than a detailed boxing simulation.
Goals, score and progress
The first boxer to reach five points wins. Ordinary rounds reward a knockout punch to the head, while special variations may change hit conditions. Read the current setup and score feedback rather than assuming every round handles contact identically.
Game questions answered
What are the Boxing Random keyboard controls?+
Up arrow controls the single player. Local two-player instructions assign W to player 1 and Up arrow to player 2. Each key triggers that fighter’s action.
How do you win a Boxing Random match?+
Reach five points first. Points come from winning rounds, not counting attempted punches. Check the displayed score after each exchange to follow the match.
Why does the boxer move differently each round?+
Ragdoll physics and round variations change movement. Long arms, icy ground and rocket punches can alter reach, so inspect the next setup before attacking.
Can two people play on the same computer?+
Yes. Choose the local two-player option, then use W and Up arrow on one keyboard. This guide describes shared-device play.
Can I play Boxing Random on a phone?+
The official page lists mobile support and touch controls. Those published claims are not a guarantee for every phone; use a keyboard if touch fails.
