One key per team · First to five goals
Soccer Random – Two-Player Football Controls and Tips
Soccer Random is RHM Interactive’s one-button physics football game. Two characters on each team react together when you jump and kick, so timing matters more than selecting an individual player. Play against the computer or share a keyboard with a friend, score into the opposing goal and adapt when the pitch and ball change.
Quick facts
- Soccer Random by RHM Interactive
- One key per team · First to five goals
- Soccer Random supports local keyboard play
How to play
One press moves both teammates. Read whether the immediate need is an attacking kick or goalkeeper coverage.
- 1
Pick solo or local two-player play
Practise against the computer or pick local two-player football. The W key operates player 1’s team; player 2 takes Up arrow for kickoff.
- 2
Watch the whole team
Find the ball and both teammates. One action affects the pair, so decide whether the immediate need is an attacking kick or covering your goal.
- 3
Jump and kick at useful moments
Press as the ball enters reach. The published gameplay also describes holding a kick in the air; use that when its path makes the contact useful.
- 4
Read the pitch after a goal
A goal brings another random setup. Check the new surface, characters and ball before repeating your rhythm. The first team to score five goals wins.
Keyboard controls
Desktop controls
- Player 1: press W to jump and kick.
- Player 2: press Up arrow to jump and kick.
- The team’s two characters respond to the same action; you do not select them separately.
Phone and tablet
- For Soccer Random, a computer keyboard is the recommended setup. Its distribution page gives touch instructions but marks Mobile Ready as No, so this version’s phone controls are not presented as confirmed.
Game features
Two teammates, one input
Your forward and goalkeeper react together. Timing becomes a team-level choice when they are in different positions relative to the ball.
New conditions after goals
Backdrops, uniforms and ball types change between rounds. Read the new bounce instead of assuming the previous trajectory will repeat.
A clear five-goal target
The match works toward five goals. Attention stays on the current ball and the next chance to score.
Practical tips
- Check which teammate is closest to the ball before moving the pair with one action.
- A ball rolling below a character may need patience rather than another immediate jump.
- After scoring, watch the replacement ball before relying on the previous successful kicking rhythm.
- Leave room for both players’ hands; click the football frame if it stops receiving keyboard input.
Who might enjoy it
Shared-keyboard football players
Two people can play football-shaped action without learning separate passing, shooting and player-switching systems.
Fans of reactive physics
Changing balls and linked teammates suit players who enjoy adapting a simple input to the situation in front of them.
Goals, score and progress
Send the ball into the opposing goal to score; the first team to five goals wins. Each goal brings new conditions for the next exchange. Follow the scoreboard rather than counting jumps or touches as extra points.
Game questions answered
How do you control both players on a Soccer Random team?+
W controls player 1’s team; Up arrow controls player 2’s. Both teammates react to the action, so the forward and goalkeeper cannot be steered independently.
How many goals do you need to win?+
The first side to score five goals wins. Watch the scoreboard, since total kicks and time spent playing do not replace the goal target.
Why do the pitch and ball change?+
Those changes are part of the round structure. After a goal, inspect the replacement ball and pitch before reproducing a kick that worked previously.
Can I practise without a second person?+
Yes. A computer opponent lets you practise the linked team action and different ball movements before trying a local match with another person.
Should I use a phone or a keyboard for this version?+
Use a computer keyboard. The distributor mentions touch controls but marks Mobile Ready as No, so mobile input for this embedded version remains unconfirmed.
