Super Oliver World: bump the ? blocks and get Oliver out of the parallel world
Super Oliver World is a pixel-art side-scroller from Magnific Studios in which a boy named Oliver runs and jumps through a parallel world full of traps and enemies while breaking blocks for coins, power-ups and other surprises. The level-select screen holds 15 numbered stages, and only the first is open when you start. Before level 1 begins, a short cutscene shows a swarm of yellow winged creatures chasing Oliver across a beach; a Skip button in the corner jumps straight to the action. The HUD tracks five lives, a score, a coin count and an empty item box for a stored power-up. Magnific Studios also made Super Billy Boy, another platformer on What Games Play.

How to play Super Oliver World
Each stage is a left-to-right run over grass, sand and water with enemies and gaps in the way. The task is to reach the end without losing all five lives.

Start from the menu
Choose Play on the title screen, then pick level 1 from the Level Select grid. At the start the other 14 buttons are greyed out.

Skip or watch the intro
A cutscene shows Oliver being chased by yellow winged creatures. Press the Skip button in the bottom-right corner if you want to start playing at once.

Run and jump
Oliver walks on A and D or the arrow keys and jumps on W, Z or the Up arrow. Head-butt the ? blocks from underneath to see what is inside.

Collect and shoot
Pick up the coins lined along the level. When you have firepower, press X or J to shoot enemies before they reach you.

Blocks hide the upgrades
Red bricks and yellow ? blocks float above the path. Breaking them is how you find power-ups and extra coins, so the blocks are worth a jump even when the route is clear.
A dedicated shoot key
Oliver has an X / J shot listed in his controls, which lets you deal with enemies from a distance instead of only jumping over them.
Five lives and a spare-item box
The HUD shows a green heart with ×5 and a blue item box next to it, so you can see both your remaining lives and whether a power-up is stored.
A cutscene you can skip
The intro chase with the yellow winged creatures sets up the escape story, and the Skip button means replays of level 1 do not force you to sit through it.
Tips for Super Oliver World
- Hit every ? block once. The yellow blocks are where power-ups come from; a jump under each one is cheap compared with meeting a later enemy without an upgrade.
- Count coins against the score. In level 1 each coin added one point to both the coin counter and the score, so a row of coins is a quick way to raise your total.
- Look down at the low ledges. The first level drops to a lower strip of grass near the water, and enemies sit on it; check before you jump off.
- Shoot from the edge of a platform. When firepower is active, clear the next platform with X or J before landing on it.
