How to play Taipei Rush
Begin with a short walk before driving. Learning the camera and interaction buttons makes the first journey easier.

Start a new game
Wait for the city to load and choose New Game in the game menu. Follow the on-screen introduction and click the scene when prompted to control the camera.

Find a scooter or car
Walk near a vehicle and press F to get in. Use W to accelerate, S to brake or reverse and A/D to steer. Press F again to get out.

Choose where to go
Press M to open the map and click a destination to set a waypoint. Press T to open the in-game phone for jobs, or explore the streets at your own pace.

- W/A/S/D: walk; move the mouse to look around.
- Shift: sprint. Space: jump on foot or use the handbrake in a vehicle.
- F: enter or exit a vehicle. E: interact.
- While driving: W accelerates, S brakes or reverses, and A/D steer.
- M: map. T: phone. Esc: pause. H: horn. Q: radio. V: camera.
Phone and tablet
- Turn your device sideways for a wider view.
- Use the left virtual stick for movement or steering.
- When driving, use the Gas and Brake pedals at the bottom right. Follow the on-screen action buttons for other controls.

Set a waypoint from the map to plan your next journey. The official game also identifies MRT entrances as fast-travel points.
Walk, ride and drive
Switch between exploring on foot and travelling in a scooter or car. Each mode changes how you move through the streets.

- Practise accelerating, braking and turning before trying the handbrake.
- Look ahead at junctions and brake earlier in rain: the game’s own tips describe slippery roads and longer braking distances.
