FireBlob: melt the ice, reach the wood, light the fire
FireBlob is a 2D puzzle platformer by NoaDev in which you steer a small ball of fire to a pile of wood and set it burning. Most of each level is built from ice, and the blob can use its heat to melt it; some levels also contain objects you can use to reach the goal. CrazyGames describes the look as inspired by NES-era games, with retro sound effects and calm music, and says the game has 28 levels with a new twist introduced every few stages. The level-select screen shows all 28 as a numbered grid.

How to play FireBlob
FireBlob levels are small, self-contained rooms. You win by touching the wood with the fireball, and the ice in between is both the floor and the obstacle.
- 1
Get past the loading screen
When the bar reads PRESS TO CONTINUE, click it. A second click may be needed before START appears, because the first one triggers GamePix's opening ad check.
- 2
Pick level 1
Press START and choose a number from the SELECT LEVEL grid. The first stage shows the movement keys on screen.
- 3
Move and jump
Roll left and right with A and D or the arrow keys. Jump with W, H, the Up arrow or the space bar.
- 4
Burn a path to the wood
Use the blob's heat to melt the ice that stands between you and the log pile, then reach the wood to light it.

What sets FireBlob apart
The player is the heat source
Instead of pushing blocks, you reshape the level with heat, melting the ice that blocks the way to the wood.
NES-inspired pixel art
Pastel clouds, icicle-edged platforms and a blob with two dots for eyes, drawn in a low-resolution style.
A new rule every few levels
CrazyGames notes that the 28 levels add a twist at intervals, so the puzzles do not repeat the same idea all the way through.
Built to be calm
CrazyGames' description calls it a relaxing experience with calm music, though some platforming skill is still required.
Tips for FireBlob
- Look before you melt. Ice you burn through may be the floor you need later, so trace the route to the wood first.
- Use R freely. Restarting a level takes one key press, which is quicker than recovering from a bad melt.
- Check for helper objects. GamePix's advice is to look for hidden paths or tools placed in the level.
- Take it slowly. The GamePix tip for this game is that patience and observation reveal the best route.
- Mute with M if you play in a shared room. The music toggle is on the keyboard, so there is no menu to open.
