Block Magic Puzzle: turn three shapes into a useful sequence
Block Magic Puzzle is Illusions Games’ drag-and-drop grid game. Move shapes from the three-piece panel onto an 8×8 board, then complete horizontal or vertical lines to remove blocks. Placing shapes and clearing lines both contribute to the score, so your next move must balance immediate points with usable space.
Quick facts
- An Illusions Games block puzzle
- Three shapes in the lower panel
- Placement and line clears award points
How to play
Examine all three shapes together. Choose a sequence that preserves legal openings while bringing a row or column closer to completion.
- 1
Compare the panel with the board
Look at the three shapes in the lower panel and find their possible landing areas. Choose an order that does not consume the only opening for a harder-to-fit piece.
- 2
Move a shape into empty cells
Hold the left mouse button on the chosen block, drag it over the board, and release on a legal position. The full shape needs room, not merely its central cell.
- 3
Use lines to regain space
Complete a horizontal row or a vertical column to remove its blocks. Check the changed board before deciding where the next offered shape should go.
Controls
Desktop controls
- Hold and drag with the left mouse button to move a block from the panel.
- Release over the grid to place it; read the selected mode’s own instructions before starting.
Phone and tablet
- Drag from the lower shape panel using touch controls.
- Make sure the board and the offered pieces are visible together before choosing the next placement.
What makes this puzzle different
Three-piece planning
The lower panel makes the immediate choices visible. Considering the whole set helps avoid a move that scores now but blocks another available piece.
Two ways to score
The distribution instructions award points for placement as well as destroyed lines. A small points gain should still be weighed against the board space it uses.
Practical placement tips
- Identify the offered shape with the fewest possible positions and protect at least one of those positions until it is placed.
- A placement that finishes intersecting lines can free more connected space; inspect both directions before accepting an ordinary single-line clear.
- Treat small placement points as a bonus rather than a reason to scatter pieces. Prefer arrangements that make a future complete line realistic.
Who might enjoy it
Players who enjoy planning a move sequence
The visible three-piece set offers a clear short-term problem: choose a useful order as well as useful positions.
Score-focused puzzle fans
Two scoring actions give you room to compare runs, while the grid still demands careful use of space.
Score, goals and the end of a round
Score by placing blocks and removing complete lines. Preserve room to continue, and follow the selected mode’s timer, target, or end message. The mode menu offers Classic, Timed, Blast, Advanced, and Challenge. Begin with Classic to learn placement, then read the rules of another mode before changing how you plan your moves.
