Parkour Run: a free 3D parkour game through three world cities

Parkour Run is a 3D street runner seen from behind the runner. You pick a city on the world map, then sprint down a three-lane avenue toward its landmark: Tokyo Tower at night, the Empire State Building at sunset, the Eiffel Tower on a clear afternoon. Switch lanes around parked taxis and trucks, jump the striped barriers, slide under the orange beams and grab the coins that mark the safe line. Hold jump in mid-air and the runner throws a backflip; land upright to bank points and build a combo. Each city has five levels, each level has a fixed layout, and every one can be finished with three stars.

How to play Parkour Run

The runner sprints forward on their own. Your job is to read each row of obstacles early and pick the move that gets you through. A level ends in a crash if you hit anything, or with a dance at the checkered finish gate if you make it to the end.

  1. 1

    Change lanes around vehicles

Cars, vans and trucks block a whole lane and cannot be jumped. Press ← or → (or A / D, or swipe sideways) to move into a free lane.

  2. 2

    Jump the barriers

Yellow-and-black striped barriers are knee high. Press ↑, W or Space, or swipe up, a moment before you reach one.

  3. 3

    Slide under the beams

Orange beams hang at chest height on two posts. Press ↓ or S, or swipe down, to roll underneath. Pressing down in the air pulls you to the ground faster.

  4. 4

    Follow the coins

Every row leaves at least one lane open, and a line of coins usually runs along it. Arcs of coins over barriers reward a well-timed jump.

What makes this 3D parkour game different

A world map of city levels

Tokyo opens first. Clearing level 5 of a city unlocks the next one, so the trip goes Tokyo, then New York, then Paris. Each city has its own light, cars and colors.

Backflips with a real risk

A clean flip scores 150 points times your combo, and the combo climbs to x9. Land tilted and you lose about 30% of your speed and the combo resets.

Fixed layouts worth replaying

A level is the same every time you play it, so you can learn it, plan your coin route and come back for the third star.

Smooth 3D in the browser

Built with Three.js on a fixed 120 Hz physics step, with animated characters and CC0 city models. The whole game loads about 1.5 MB and holds 120 fps on a current laptop.

Tips for three stars

  • Look two rows ahead. Rows arrive about a second apart at the start and faster later; picking the next open lane early saves a hurried double lane change.
  • Jump a little early. The runner clears a barrier for most of the jump, so pressing slightly early is safer than pressing late.
  • Take the coin arcs. Arcs over barriers are three coins each; they add up to a large share of the total on later levels.
  • Flip on open stretches. A full backflip takes about half a second of holding. Try it when the next row is far away, not right before a truck.
  • Short taps are safe. If you let go after only a small turn, the runner straightens out and lands normally.

Who will enjoy this running game?

Fans of games like Subway Surfers

The three-lane dodge, jump and slide loop is familiar, but here it comes in short levels with a finish line instead of one endless run.

Players who like a trick system

If you enjoy a backflip game where style earns points, the combo gives you a reason to take a risk on the open stretches.

Completionists

Fifteen levels with three stars each make 45 stars to collect, and the fixed layouts reward practice.

Scoring, stars and unlocking

You earn a point for every meter you run and 10 points for each coin. A flip landed upright adds 150 points per full rotation, multiplied by your combo, which rises with each clean flip up to x9. Stars depend on the finish and your coins: finishing gives 1 star, 60% of the coins gives 2, and 90% gives 3. The next level opens when you finish the current one. Levels get longer and faster as you go, from 14 meters per second in the first Tokyo level to 22 in the last Paris level.

Frequently asked questions

What is Parkour Run?+

Parkour Run is a free 3D runner for the browser. You race along city streets in Tokyo, New York and Paris, dodge traffic, jump barriers and slide under beams across 15 levels.

Is this an endless runner?+

No. Each level has a fixed length and a finish gate, from 500 meters to 1,100 meters. The pace is that of an endless runner, but you always know how far is left from the bar at the top of the screen.

How do you do a backflip in this backflip game?+

Jump, then keep holding the jump key or keep your finger on the screen. The runner rotates while you hold. Let go when they are upright again so the landing counts.

Is Parkour Run one of the parkour games online that need a download?+

No. It runs in any modern browser with WebGL 2 on computers, tablets and phones, with nothing to install and no sign-up.

How do I unlock New York and Paris in the city levels?+

Finish level 5 in Tokyo to open New York, then finish level 5 in New York to open Paris. Stars are not required to unlock, only a finish.

Is it one of the games like Subway Surfers?+

It shares the three lane runner idea of dodging, jumping and sliding. The differences are the real-world cities, the level structure with stars, and the backflip combo.
