Save the Capybara: draw a wall before the oranges fall

Save the Capybara is a 2D draw-to-protect puzzle game in which you sketch lines and shapes to shield a capybara from a pile of falling oranges. The capybara sits on a small grassy block above the water, a crate tips its oranges down from above, and an orange-shaped timer counts down at the top of the screen. GamePix's listing says the goal is to keep the capybara safe for 10 seconds; if the oranges push it off its block and into the water, the level ends with a Failure screen. The build embedded here carries a 2026 Rednecks Studio credit on its loading screen, and it is not the same version as the bee-themed Save the Capybara published elsewhere.

Quick facts

  • Genre: 2D draw-a-line defence puzzle
  • Hazard: oranges tipped from a crate above
  • Win condition: capybara stays safe until the 10-second timer ends
  • Input: draw with the mouse or a finger
  • Credit on loading screen: Rednecks Studio
  • Engine: Unity WebGL; tall canvas inside a 4:3 frame

How to play Save the Capybara

Each level is one short defence: you draw first, then the physics decide whether your line holds.

  1. 1

    Press Play

On the menu, use the arrows to choose a capybara skin (the default is called Base), then press the green Play button.

  2. 2

    Read the level

Find the crate the oranges will pour from and the edge of the block the capybara stands on. Those two points decide where your barrier must go.

  3. 3

    Draw the barrier

Drag with the left mouse button held down, or trace with a fingertip, to sketch a line or shape between the crate and the capybara.

  4. 4

    Survive the countdown

Watch the orange-shaped timer at the top. If the capybara is still on its block when it runs out, you pass; if it lands in the water, choose Retry.

Controls

Desktop

  • Hold the left mouse button and move to draw a barrier line
  • Round arrow button at the top right restarts the current level
  • Home and gear buttons at the top left open the menu and settings

Phone & tablet

  • Trace the barrier with one finger on the screen
  • The play area is a tall canvas, so an upright phone shows it largest
  • Listed by GamePix for phones and tablets as well as desktop

What sets Save the Capybara apart

Your drawing becomes a solid object

The line you trace is what the oranges bounce off, so its shape and angle decide the outcome, not a menu of pre-made pieces.

Short fixed timer per level

A countdown in the shape of an orange sits at the top of the level; GamePix puts the target at 10 seconds of survival.

Capybara skins to swap

The main menu has left and right arrows for switching the capybara's look, and GamePix mentions outfits to unlock.

Instant retry after a loss

The Failure panel offers Retry right away, plus a video-ad button to skip the level and a home button.

Tips for Save the Capybara

  • Block the crate side first. Oranges come from the crate, so a barrier angled between it and the capybara stops them before they build up speed.
  • Think about the water, not just the hits. A level is lost when the capybara is pushed off its block, so guard the side it could be shoved toward.
  • Try a different shape after a failure. GamePix's own hint is that changing your line pattern improves the defence.
  • Enclose instead of deflect. When a single slanted line fails, a curved shape over the capybara can hold the oranges off from more angles.
  • Keep an eye on the counter. The timer shows how many seconds are left, so you know how long the barrier has to last.

Who is Save the Capybara for?

Draw-to-save puzzle players

Anyone who liked drawing walls to protect a character from falling or swarming hazards.

Capybara fans

The capybara is the whole show, down to the skins on the main menu.

Quick-break players

Each attempt lasts about ten seconds, and a retry is one tap away.

Timer, coins and hearts

There is no running score in a level: you either keep the capybara on its block until the countdown ends or you see the Failure screen. The main menu shows a coin counter and a heart counter that reads 3/3 at the start. GamePix's description mentions collecting coconuts and unlocking outfits; we did not see coconuts in the first level.
