Raccoon Retail: the customers make the mess, you drive the cleaner
Raccoon Retail is a 3D cleaning simulation by Pelican Party Studios in which you play a raccoon janitor driving a cleaning cart around a grocery store full of raccoon customers. The customers pick up produce, look it over and drop it on the floor. Your cart collects any food it touches; when the trash counter fills up and flashes red, you drive to the dumpster in the corner of the store to empty it and get paid. That money buys upgrades for speed, capacity and earnings, and as you upgrade, the store grows more stands, shelves and aisles, which means more mess. Hitting a customer or a display is not free — GamePix notes that you are charged for the damage.

How to play Raccoon Retail
A shift is a loop: sweep up food, empty the cart, spend the money, repeat in a bigger store.

Learn to drive
The game opens with an arrow-key diagram on screen. Up drives forward, down reverses, and left and right turn the cart.

Sweep up dropped food
Drive over the peppers, aubergines and other produce customers leave on the floor. The cart picks up anything it touches, and a small counter in the top-left corner ticks up, showing amounts such as +0.24.

Empty at the dumpster
Watch the trash capacity in the top-left corner. When it is full and flashing red, head for the dumpster in the corner of the store and unload to earn money.

Buy upgrades
Spend your earnings on speed, capacity and income upgrades in the top-right corner. Buying more upgrades expands the store with new stands and shelves.

- Keep moving. Customers drop food all the time, so a steady patrol loop beats waiting for a big pile.
- Empty before you are full. A trip to the dumpster while passing costs less time than a special run from the far side of the store.
- Treat the red flash as your cue. The capacity display in the top-left corner flashes red when the cart is full; that is the moment to head for the dumpster.
