myDream Universe: from a single asteroid to your own solar system
myDream Universe is a 3D sandbox space simulation by UnknownProjectX in which you begin as a small asteroid, absorb smaller objects to gain mass, and build that mass into planets and a solar system. The rule of the universe is simple: a body with more mass can destroy a smaller one, so you grow by eating what is lighter than you and steering clear of what is heavier. Roaming near other planets also earns GP (Growth Points), the resource you spend on building your system. With enough mass, the developer says your sun can turn into a neutron star or a black hole. The browser game is the WebGL release of a mobile app that appears as "myDream Universe - Buildit" on Google Play and "myDream Universe - Build Solar" on the App Store.
Quick facts
- Developer: UnknownProjectX (per CrazyGames)
- Genre: 3D space sandbox and growth simulation
- Input: mouse; left button boosts speed
- Resources: mass and GP (Growth Points)
- Menu: Load, Planet, Orbit, Start, GP, Options
- Timeline: Android and iOS in March 2019, WebGL in February 2021
How to play myDream Universe
The game opens on a title screen with a rotating solar system. After that, the menu on the right and the free-flight view are the whole game.
- 1
Press to start
Click the title screen. You arrive in empty space next to a single asteroid, with GP 0 in the corner and the slot name Solar 00.
- 2
Pick a save slot
Load opens a browser of solar-system slots; use the arrow to move between them and Load to choose one.
- 3
Fly and absorb
Press Start and head for smaller rocks, holding the left button to boost. Absorbed bodies add to the Mass counter.
- 4
Build with GP
The Planet, Orbit and GP buttons hold the building side of the game; the developer says GP is what you spend to build your system.
Controls
Desktop
- Everything is done with the mouse; no keyboard keys are listed
- Hold the left mouse button to boost speed
- Menu buttons on the right: Load, Planet, Orbit, Start, GP, Options
- A gear icon and a Speed readout sit in the top-left during flight
Phone & tablet
- GamePix lists browser play on mobile, but CrazyGames does not mark the web version as phone-friendly
- If you try it on a phone, hold it sideways for the landscape view
- For touch play, the Android and iOS apps are the versions made for phones
What sets myDream Universe apart
Mass decides every collision
Heavier bodies destroy lighter ones. The on-screen tutorial spells it out: do not hit heavy planets.
Stellar evolution as the long goal
Once your sun gathers enough mass it can become a neutron star or a black hole.
An HP ring and a shield of debris
Your asteroid has an HP gauge, small rocks cluster around it, and one tutorial message begins "To protect yourself".
Multiple solar-system saves
The Load screen pages through numbered systems starting at Solar 00. The mobile version advertises 100 save slots.
Tips for myDream Universe
- Start with the tiny rocks. GamePix's hint is to grow on the smallest bodies first.
- Compare sizes before contact. A heavier body destroys a lighter one, so judge a planet before you fly into it.
- Roam to earn GP. The developer explains that simply passing near other planets pays out GP.
- Watch the Mass counter. The Earned panel in the lower-left shows GP and mass rising as you absorb; in our session mass went from 62 to 123 in under a minute.
- Use separate slots for separate ideas. The Load screen keeps numbered solar systems apart, so one experiment does not overwrite another.
Who is myDream Universe for?
Space and astronomy fans
Planets, orbits, neutron stars and black holes as the things you build toward.
Sandbox players
There is no level list or deadline; you decide how your system should look.
Fans of grow-by-eating games
The eat-smaller, avoid-bigger rule of io-style games, set in 3D space.
GP, mass and HP
myDream Universe tracks three numbers rather than a score. Mass is how big you are and decides who survives a collision. GP accumulates as you explore and is spent on building. HP, shown as a ring in the lower-left corner, is your asteroid's health. A Speed readout sits in the top-left while you fly.
Frequently asked questions
What is myDream Universe?+
myDream Universe is a 3D space sandbox by UnknownProjectX. You start as an asteroid, absorb smaller bodies and build up planets and a solar system.
How do you speed up in myDream Universe?+
Hold the left mouse button. CrazyGames lists it as the boost control, and it is the only input either listing names.
Is myDream Universe the same game as myDream Universe - Buildit?+
Yes. "myDream Universe - Buildit" is the Google Play title of the same UnknownProjectX game; this browser version is its WebGL release from 2021.
Can you become a black hole in myDream Universe?+
Yes. According to the developer, a sun that gathers enough mass can transform into a neutron star or a black hole.
What is GP in myDream Universe?+
GP stands for Growth Points. You earn them by roaming space near other planets and absorbing bodies, and you spend them to build your system.
