Murder Mafia: take the Don's hat, then watch your own back
Murder Mafia is a one-button 2D side-scrolling comedy game by Go Panda Games in which you creep up behind a mafia Don, strike while he is looking ahead and take his place as boss. You hold the button or screen to advance your attack and release it the instant the Don starts to turn his head. Once you wear the hat, the roles flip: people walk up behind you, and you have to turn and catch the ones raising a knife or a gun while letting the ones who only want a kiss get close. Each run ends in one of several scenarios, from a romantic dinner to being poisoned by the butler or turned into a chihuahua, and unlocking them is a large part of the game. CrazyGames now lists it under the title Mafia Takedown.

How to play Murder Mafia
A run has two halves: getting the job by removing the old Don, and keeping it while everyone around you considers doing the same.

Press the green start button
On the title screen, click the green button under the fedora. You begin as one of the Don's enemies, knife in hand, walking behind him down a red carpet.

Strike while he looks ahead
Hold the button to charge your attack only while the Don faces forward. If he starts to turn his head, release at once and act innocent.

Become the Don
Land the stab and you take his clothes and his power. Now you are the one walking forward with people approaching from behind.

Catch the traitors
When someone raises their arms to stab, strike or shoot, turn and catch them so your bodyguards take them to prison. Leave the would-be lovers alone.

Tips for Murder Mafia
- Watch the Don's head, not your knife. The turn of the head is the warning; releasing the button then is what keeps you from being caught.
- Wait for raised arms. As the Don, only turn when an approaching figure lifts a weapon; turning early on a harmless visitor has consequences too.
- Let people get close sometimes. CrazyGames points out that unlocking scenarios is the fun part, and being overly cautious shuts some of them out.
- Look out for the parade and the police. If either catches you, the run is over.
