Hyper Wave Trial: hold, release, and don't touch the spikes
Hyper Wave Trial is a side-scrolling one-button obstacle game by IceRainWave, built in GameMaker, in which you steer the Wave, an arrow that never stops moving forward. Holding the mouse button, the spacebar or your finger sends it climbing diagonally; letting go sends it diving, so the trail it leaves is a zigzag. Each level ends at a portal, and hitting an obstacle destroys the Wave and makes it respawn. The CrazyGames version of the same build (now titled Hyper Wave Challenge) lists 3 worlds, 30 levels, 49 Wave skins and four special portals that flip gravity, mirror the screen, shrink the Wave or add a second one. A Practice Mode lets you place your own checkpoints.

How to play Hyper Wave Trial
The Wave moves right on its own. The only decision you make is when to hold and when to let go.
- 1
Start with the tutorial
The first screen is a tutorial that says "Click to start". Question-mark markers along the way pop up hints such as "Avoid the spikes". The green Skip button jumps past it.
- 2
Hold to climb
Press and hold the left mouse button or the spacebar (a finger on a touchscreen) and the Wave angles upward.
- 3
Release to dive
Let go and the Wave angles back down. Short taps keep each rise small; longer holds carry it higher before the next dive.
- 4
Reach the portal
Weave past spikes and other obstacles to the final portal of the level. Coins are picked up on the way; crystals and stars are awarded when you finish.

What sets Hyper Wave Trial apart
Four portals that change the rules
Gravity flips the level, Mirror moves the Wave to the right side of the screen, Size shrinks it, and Dual spawns a second Wave flying straight at the first.
Practice with your own checkpoints
In Practice Mode you drop checkpoints with Q and remove the last with E, so you can drill one hard section instead of replaying the whole level.
A cup for a clean run
Finishing a level without respawning earns a Cup, on top of the crystals and stars every completion gives.
49 skins for the Wave
The arrow's appearance can be changed with 49 unlockable skins, according to the CrazyGames description.
Tips for Hyper Wave Trial
- Read the warning signs. CrazyGames points out danger signs that mark hazards ahead and arrows that show which way to move.
- Drill hard sections in Practice Mode. Place a checkpoint with Q just before the part that keeps killing you.
- Expect the portals. After a Gravity or Mirror portal, up and down or left and right on the screen change, but your button still does the same thing.
- Use short taps in tight tunnels. Quick hold-release pulses keep the zigzag shallow when the gap is narrow.
- Go back for the Cup later. First learn a level with respawns, then replay it for a no-respawn clear.
Who is Hyper Wave Trial for?
Geometry Dash players
CrazyGames names Geometry Dash as the closest match; here every level is played with the hold-and-release arrow alone.
Players who like to retry
Levels get harder and less predictable as you go, and Practice Mode is there for the sections that take many attempts.
One-hand phone players
A single finger controls everything on a touchscreen.
Coins, crystals, stars and cups
Coins are collected inside a level. Crystals and stars are handed out when you complete it, and a Cup is added if you finished without respawning. The game spreads 30 levels over 3 worlds, ranging from easy to very hard, and you do not have to start at level 1, though the tutorial and early levels are the best place to learn the zigzag.
