Flip Trickster: a free backflip parkour simulator in your browser
Flip Trickster - Parkour Simulator is a 3D physics game about one thing: jumping, flipping and landing on your feet. Every attempt uses the same two-step input. You hold to crouch and build power, let go to launch, then hold again while airborne to pull your body into a tuck so the rotation speeds up. Release at the right moment and the character opens up and lands upright on the next block; release too early or too late and he lands on his head, back or knees and the attempt is over. Levels are laid out on a world map that starts in a place called The Gym, and each cleared level unlocks the next. It runs in a desktop or mobile browser with nothing to install.

How to play Flip Trickster
The first stage is a short tutorial on plain pink blocks, and it teaches the whole control scheme in two prompts. After that, the difficulty comes from the gap between platforms and from how much spin each jump needs.
- 1
Crouch to load the jump
Press and hold the mouse button or your finger on the screen. The character squats, and a longer hold stores more power for a higher, longer jump.
- 2
Release to take off
Let go to launch him off the block. The jump follows the power you stored, so a short press is a small hop and a long press clears a wide gap.
- 3
Tuck in the air
While he is airborne, hold again. He pulls his knees in and the flip rotates faster. Holding longer adds more rotation.
- 4
Open up and land
Release the tuck so he straightens out with his feet under him as he reaches the next platform. A clean landing clears the level and opens the next dot on the world map.

What sets Flip Trickster apart
A two-hold control scheme
Squat power and tuck length are the only two things you control. There is no steering, so every miss comes down to timing you can adjust on the next try.
Physics-driven landings
The character is a ragdoll-style 3D figure, so an under-rotated flip lands on his back and an over-rotated one lands on his face. You can see exactly how far off you were.
A world map of short levels
Levels appear as numbered points on an island map, starting in The Gym, with arrows to move between worlds once they are open.
Coins and outfits
The map screen shows a coin total and a shirt button for character outfits, giving cleared levels something to spend on.
Tips for cleaner flips
- Find the power for each gap first. Do a few jumps without tucking at all to learn how long a hold carries you to the next block.
- Add the tuck late, not early. Tucking right at take-off often over-rotates; starting it at the top of the arc is easier to control.
- Watch his feet, not his head. Let go of the tuck when his feet are swinging back under him, a moment before he reaches the platform.
- Change one thing per retry. If you landed on your back, keep the same jump and hold the tuck a little longer next time.
- Use a mouse on a computer. Short, precise holds are easier with a mouse button than with a trackpad click.
Who will enjoy it?
Fans of backflip and ragdoll games
If you like games where a stunt either lands or collapses in a heap, this is that loop in a small, level-based format.
Players with a few minutes
Each level is a single jump or a short sequence, so a session can be two attempts or twenty.
Mobile players
The whole game is hold and release, which works with one finger on a phone as well as with a mouse.
Progress and rewards
Flip Trickster does not show a running score during a jump. Progress is measured by levels: land cleanly to clear a level and unlock the next one on the world map. The map also shows a coin counter, and GamePix describes rewards for completing levels that unlock new abilities. We have not verified how many coins each level pays or what every unlock does, so this page does not list those numbers.
Frequently asked questions
What is Flip Trickster?+
Flip Trickster - Parkour Simulator is a free 3D backflip game. You hold to squat, release to jump, and hold again in the air to tuck and spin, trying to land on your feet on the next platform.
How do you do a flip in Flip Trickster?+
Jump first by holding and releasing, then press and hold while you are in the air. Holding tucks the body and speeds up the rotation; letting go opens him up for the landing.
Why does my character keep landing on his back?+
That means the flip is under-rotated. Keep the same jump power and hold the tuck slightly longer, or start the tuck a little earlier in the arc.
Is Flip Trickster the same game as Wacky Flip?+
No. Both are backflip games built around hold-to-jump controls, but they are separate titles. Flip Trickster is the one available on What Games Play, embedded from GamePix.
Can I play Flip Trickster on a phone?+
Yes. It runs in mobile browsers and the controls are touch and hold, so one finger is enough. Turning the phone sideways shows more of the course.
Is Flip Trickster free?+
Yes. It is free to play in the browser with no download and no account.
Privacy
Flip Trickster is hosted by GamePix and loads in an embedded frame on this page only after you press Play. Advertising that appears during play comes from GamePix, which picks and runs it; this site has no say in which ads you see. No sign-in is needed.
Stick the landing
One more jump is only a hold and a release away. Start in The Gym and see how many levels you can land cleanly.
