Cursed Treasure 2: guard the Overlord's gems from the heroes
Cursed Treasure 2 is a 2D top-down tower defense game by IriySoft in which you play a dark Overlord and build orc, undead and demon towers along the paths to stop heroes from carrying off your magical gems. The title screen's subtitle sums it up: "Hey! Heroes! Leave Us Gems Alone!" Each of the three minion types can only be built on ground of its own colour, so the map decides where each kind of tower can go. Kills pay gold for building and upgrading, spells run on mana that refills over time, and skill points from finished levels buy permanent upgrades. Among the tower games on What Games Play it is the only one where you are the villain: Tower Defense Clash has you protecting a human castle, and Tower Crush is a tower-against-tower duel. The Flash original came out in August 2013; this HTML5 remaster followed in October 2019.

How to play Cursed Treasure 2
Heroes follow paths toward your gem stash. Your towers and spells have to stop them before they carry every gem off the map.

Read the ground colours
Orcs, undead and demons each need land that matches their colour. Look at where each colour meets the path before you build.

Build towers along the path
Click the tower icons on the right, or click a spot on the map to open a radial menu, and place towers where heroes will walk past.

Use gold and mana
Slain heroes drop gold for new towers and upgrades. Spells need to be charged and cost mana, which refills over time.

Spend skill points between levels
Finishing a level earns skill points. Spend them in the main menu to upgrade your towers, gold and mana.

Tips for Cursed Treasure 2
- Build where towers overlap. GamePix advises finding the points on the path where the widest mix of towers can all hit at once.
- Mix minion types. Orcs, undead and demons attack differently; a spot covered by more than one kind handles more enemy types.
- Clear a spot to reposition. A tower in the wrong spot can be destroyed to free the ground for a better one.
- Keep mana for emergencies. Mana refills over time, so a spell saved for heroes near your gems is rarely wasted.
