Aim Trainer: free mouse aim practice with a daily challenge
This aim trainer is a set of short drills for mouse control and reaction speed that runs directly in the browser. There are four modes. Grid keeps three targets on screen for 30 seconds. Flick gives you 30 targets one after another and times how quickly you clear them. Tracking asks you to hold a crosshair on a moving target. The Daily mode is a fixed sequence of 30 targets that is identical for every player on a given day, so you can compare a result with friends. Runs take 30 seconds or 30 targets, your best score in each mode is kept in your browser, and nothing needs to be installed or signed into.
Quick facts
- Modes: Grid, Flick, Tracking and Daily
- Run length: 30 seconds or 30 targets
- Miss penalty in Flick and Daily: 200 ms per miss
- Target sizes: small, medium or large (Daily mixes all three)
- Input: mouse, trackpad or touchscreen
- Progress: personal bests and daily streak stored in your browser
How to use the aim trainer
Every mode starts the same way: choose it from the tabs above the play area, set a target size and crosshair colour if you want, then press Start. The run begins immediately, so keep your hand on the mouse.
- 1
Choose a mode
Grid, Flick and Tracking are practice drills you can repeat as often as you like. Daily is the shared challenge for today's date.
- 2
Set the target size
Small targets reward precision, large ones reward speed. The Daily mode ignores this setting and mixes all three sizes so every player faces the same layout.
- 3
Press Start and shoot
Click a target to hit it. A click that lands outside every target counts as a miss. In Tracking there is nothing to click: move the crosshair so it stays inside the moving circle.
- 4
Read the result
When the run ends you see your main score, hits, misses, accuracy and time per target, plus a note when you have set a new personal best.
Controls
Mouse or trackpad
- Move the crosshair with your mouse; the system cursor is hidden over the play area
- Left click to shoot at the target under the crosshair
- Switching to another browser tab cancels the current run so the timer stays honest
Touchscreen
- Tap a target to hit it in Grid, Flick and Daily
- In Tracking, keep a finger on the screen and drag it to follow the target
- Hold the phone sideways for a larger play area
Four modes: flick trainer, tracking and more
Grid for raw speed
Three targets are always visible. Each one you hit is replaced at a new spot that does not overlap the others, and you have 30 seconds to hit as many as possible.
Flick for target-to-target movement
One target at a time, 30 in total. Your score is the average time per target, with 200 ms added for every miss so random clicking does not pay off.
Tracking for smooth control
A target drifts across the arena, bounces off the edges and changes direction every second or so. The score is the share of 30 seconds your crosshair spent on it.
One shared run per day
Thirty targets in a fixed order and mixed sizes, generated from the date. Your first run of the day is saved, and a share button copies a one-line result.
Aim practice tips
- Accuracy first, then speed. In Flick and Daily a miss costs 200 ms, which is more than most players gain by rushing.
- Use a consistent grip. Short sessions with the same mouse position build more reliable muscle memory than long, tired ones.
- Move with the arm for long flicks. Let the wrist handle small corrections and the forearm cover big distances across the arena.
- In Tracking, lead the target. It moves in straight lines between turns, so aim slightly ahead of its direction instead of chasing it.
- Warm up with Grid. A couple of Grid runs before the Daily challenge helps you start the counted run at full speed.
Who is it for?
FPS players warming up
A few minutes of Flick and Tracking before a match gets hand and eye moving without launching a separate program.
Anyone improving mouse control
The drills help with everyday precision, whether you use a mouse for design work or just want a steadier hand.
Friends comparing scores
Because the Daily sequence is the same for everyone that day, a shared result is a fair comparison.
Scoring and the mouse accuracy test
Each mode has one main score, and that is what your personal best tracks. Grid counts hits in 30 seconds, higher is better. Flick takes the total time to clear 30 targets, adds 200 ms per miss and divides by 30, lower is better. Tracking reports the percentage of 30 seconds your crosshair stayed on the target. Daily uses the same rules as Flick but shows the total adjusted time, lower is better. Accuracy, shown as a mouse accuracy test figure after every clicking run, is hits divided by all clicks. Results are stored only in this browser; there is no public leaderboard yet.
Frequently asked questions
Is this aim trainer online and free?+
Yes. It runs in any modern browser at no cost, with no download and no account. Your best scores are saved locally in the browser you play in.
What is the daily aim challenge?+
It is a fixed run of 30 targets generated from the UTC date, so every player sees the same positions and sizes that day. Your first attempt is recorded; later runs are practice. Completing it on consecutive days builds a streak.
How is the tracking aim trainer mode scored?+
Tracking lasts 30 seconds and measures how long your crosshair stays inside the moving target. A result of 60% means you were on target for 18 of the 30 seconds.
Can I use it as an aim test for Valorant or CS2?+
It measures mouse precision and reaction speed, which carry over to any shooter. It is a 2D drill, though, so it cannot convert or test your in-game sensitivity or recreate 3D camera movement.
Is there a free aim trainer mode for phones?+
All four modes work on touchscreens. Tap targets in Grid, Flick and Daily; in Tracking, keep your finger on the screen and drag it after the target.
What counts as a good Flick score?+
Lower is better. Around 600 ms per target is a solid start with medium targets; players who warm up regularly often get under 450 ms. Misses add 200 ms each, so accuracy matters as much as speed.
