Drunken Duel: one button, one pistol, a very unsteady arm
Drunken Duel is a one-button ragdoll shooting game in which two drunk stickmen stand on opposite sides of a room and try to shoot each other with pistols. You never aim directly: your stickman's arm sways up and down on its own, and the only thing you control is the moment you pull the trigger. Emptying the other stickman's energy bar wins the round, and a headshot empties it in one go. Snokido credits the game to RHM Interactive, the studio behind Drunken Boxing 2, which is also on What Games Play. The title screen has a 1P button for a match against the computer and a 2P button for two people sharing one keyboard or screen.

How to play Drunken Duel
The whole game is about when to press. Your stickman keeps wobbling, and each shot goes wherever his arm happens to point at that instant.

Pick a mode
Press 1P to face the computer or 2P to play a friend. The bar at the bottom of the menu confirms ONE PLAYER MODE or TWO PLAYER MODE.

Wait for the countdown
Each round opens with READY and a 3-2-1 count. The blue stickman stands on the left, the orange one on the right.

Time your shot
Watch the arm swing and press your fire key when the pistol lines up with the other stickman's body or head.

Drain the energy bar
Hits lower the opponent's bar at the top of the screen. When it reaches zero, or after a headshot, you take the round.

What sets Drunken Duel apart
Timing replaces aiming
With one key and an arm that moves by itself, every shot is a timing test. GamePix's own hint is to watch the arm movement to aim better.
Headshots end the round
A body hit takes part of the energy bar; a shot to the head empties it at once, according to Snokido's description.
A room you can wreck
Two bottles stand on the table between the duelists and a lamp hangs from the ceiling. In our test a stray shot knocked a bottle off, and in another round the lamp went out and the room turned dark.
Two players, two keys
The 2P mode needs only W and the Up arrow, so two people can share one keyboard without crowding each other.
Tips for Drunken Duel
- Learn the sway rhythm first. Spend the first round only watching how high and low your arm travels before you commit to shots.
- Fire on the upswing for the head. A headshot ends the round, so try to catch the arm as it passes head height.
- Count your misses. If most of your shots hit the wall above the other stickman, press a fraction of a second later on the next swing.
- Watch the enemy arm too. The CPU sways the same way you do, so its pistol is pointing away from you for part of every swing.
- In 2P, sit side by side. W and Up sit on opposite halves of the keyboard, which gives each player room.
