Dogs vs Aliens: free the pets, and the pets fight back
Dogs vs Aliens is a 3D top-down casual action game by Square Dino in which aliens invade a park, abduct the pets and leave you to get them back. The intro shows your purple character on a bench reading "Breaking news!!! Alien invasion!" before a flying saucer snatches the dogs. From then on you walk the map, open cages to recruit dogs, and lead them on a leash. You never attack yourself: dogs go for any alien in range, and a beaten alien goes into your backpack. Coins, gems and bones pay for upgrades such as a bigger backpack, a longer leash and stronger dogs, and bones level up individual dogs until they evolve. Clearing an area of aliens opens the gate to the next one.

How to play Dogs vs Aliens
Your part is moving. The dogs do the fighting, so the game is about where you walk them and what you spend your rewards on.

Tap through the intro
The opening scene plays out in the park with "Tap to continue" prompts, ending with the saucer taking the dogs.

Walk to a cage
The on-screen hint reads "Move to play — WASD or Arrows". Stand next to a caged dog to free it, then press Add to Team.

Let the dogs fight
Your dogs follow on a leash and attack aliens within reach on their own. Beaten aliens drop into your backpack.

Cash in and upgrade
Toss or trade the aliens for coins and other rewards, spend them on upgrades, and clear every alien in an area to open its gate.
