How to play
Timber Squirrel uses the following sequence.
- 1
Timber Squirrel: prepare
Examine the shoreline, floating objects and pinecone before moving the squirrel. Decide which log, raft or fallen tree could create a useful segment of the crossing instead of pushing the closest object immediately.
- 2
Timber Squirrel: act
Move into an object to push it toward the pond. An object drifts after a push, so plan how that change affects the remaining route and whether the squirrel can still reach the next useful position.
- 3
Timber Squirrel: reach the objective
Finish the bridge and guide the squirrel to its pinecone. Reduce unnecessary movement if you want a better star result; use undo, restart or the directional hint when a push leaves the route awkward.
Controls
Desktop
- For Timber Squirrel movement, use WASD or the arrow keys. Z undoes, R restarts, L opens the level menu and H requests a hint.
Phone and tablet
- Swipe to move the squirrel on a touch screen. Tap the Timber Squirrel Undo, Restart or Hint buttons to recover from a misplaced floating object.
Game mechanics
Timber Squirrel: distinctive mechanics
Floating bridge construction is presented in a low-poly forest containing a lake, stumps and pine trees. The key puzzle mechanism combines a directional push with the drift that follows it.
Playing tips
- A single Timber Squirrel push already makes an object drift. Work out where the object should end up before contacting it, and compare the next required step with the route you leave behind.
Who might enjoy it
Timber Squirrel players
The squirrel crossing challenge suits players who like object-pushing puzzles with a clear destination. Undo and arrow hints make it possible to investigate a difficult arrangement without blindly repeating every move.
Progress and results
Timber Squirrel lists 50 logic levels and a three-star rating system. Finishing a level in fewer moves earns a better result, making careful route planning useful beyond simply reaching the reward.
